Himachal Pradesh University Website Hacked?
The official website of Himachal Pradesh University was hacked on Monday.
According to reports, the homepage of the university’s website displayed a derogatory message threatening the country, along with an image of the Indian flag being set on fire.
The website was promptly taken offline once the threat was detected, and the incident has been reported to a Delhi-based IT company, which is currently investigating the matter.
According to the report, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) State CID Mohit Chawla said that two cyber commandos of Himanchal Pradesh Police will visit the university to find out who was behind it.
They also said, no formal complaint registered against the university.
Although no formal complaint has been filed by the university so far, efforts are underway to trace the origin of the hacker.
